"popular" museums ...

That very senior "marketing" man call me again this morning. Maybe to add some "little angel element" in their products can help them to boost sales. It's ridiculous. These days nearly all product say they're targeting the "angel" market. How could it be? We're the minority in this new-world society. Those giant shopping malls are not our favourite haunt either. In the end all these products are consumed by those middle-aged elite. The marketing man said my work is very artistic ... ha ... my father is a real artists. why they didn't call him? why his sculpture works could never be allowed to exhibit in their "popular" museums? why he and my mother drifted apart?
"Your father is not an artist. Have you heard anybody talking about his name? He's just a lazy man living off social welfare. Nowadays the machines do all the production work, so mediocrity is a sin, even being an artist ..." I remember my mother once told me last time she got drunk at my home. Of course at my home, according to the law, it's illegal to use the word "mediocrity" to describe a person publicily. ..I hang up the phone without saying a word.
